.

Wow. I suck. My bad. I will totally blame my ADD to the fact that I ignored the challenge.

I'm picking up when I left off.

American Idol

Guilty pleasure #783.

Let's start with something deliciously silly and entertaining, shall we? I love American Idol. Judge me. I don't care.

Which other show would provide you pure, raw, wtf entertainment like this?

And, Paula, hon... I don't care how much you make be cringe laugh, you still own poor Jason a public apology. It's called good manners, which apparently, is not one of the 24 condiments in your Coke® cup.

Speaking of Jason...

I absolutely love the studio version of Dolly Parton's Travelin' Thru he recorded. The lyrics are pretty awesome (Dolly love!), but I feel he brings the whole song to a whole new level.

This song, btw, is in the Transamerica (flick) soundtrack with Dolly singing it. Jason's version can be bought at iTunes.

Here is the studio version:

Travelin' Thru (Dolly Parton)

Well I can't tell you where I'm going, I'm not sure of where I've been
But I know I must keep travelin' till my road comes to an end
I'm out here on my journey, trying to make the most of it
I'm a puzzle, I must figure out where all my pieces fit
Like a poor wayfaring stranger that they speak about in song
I'm just a weary pilgrim trying to find what feels like home
Where that is no one can tell me, am I doomed to ever roam
I'm just travelin', travelin', travelin', I'm just travelin' on

Questions I have many, answers but a few
But we're here to learn, the spirit burns, to know the greater truth
We've all been crucified and they nailed Jesus to the tree
And when I'm born again, you're gonna see a change in me

God made me for a reason and nothing is in vain
Redemption comes in many shapes with many kinds of pain
Oh sweet Jesus if you're listening, keep me ever close to you
As I'm stumblin', tumblin', wonderin', as I'm travelin' thru

I'm just travelin', travelin', travelin', I'm just travelin' thru
I'm just travelin', travelin', travelin', I'm just travelin' thru

Oh sometimes the road is rugged, and it's hard to travel on
But holdin' to each other, we don't have to walk alone
When everything is broken, we can mend it if we try
We can make a world of difference, if we want to we can fly

Goodbye little children, goodnight you handsome men
Farewell to all you ladies and to all who knew me when
And I hope I'll see you down the road, you meant more than I knew
As I was travelin', travelin', travelin', travelin', travelin' thru

I'm just travelin', travelin', travelin', I'm just travelin'
Drifting like a floating boat and roaming like the wind
Oh give me some direction lord, let me lean on you
As I'm travelin', travelin', travelin', thru

I'm just travelin', travelin', travelin', I'm just travelin' thru
I'm just travelin', travelin', travelin', I'm just travelin' thru

Like the poor wayfaring stranger that they speak about in song
I'm just a weary pilgrim trying to find my own way home
Oh sweet Jesus if you're out there, keep me ever close to you
As I'm travelin', travelin', travelin', as I'm travelin' thru

For the nth time.

Yes. It's pathetic, but true.

I apologetically start yet another blog. Technically, it's a very old one, but I never used it before, except for a "test" post I erased today. I was going to use by old "active" blog, but it is very old and my style of writing was quite different. My latest blog (which I haven't posted since October 2006), it's MSN. I dig my entries there and I love that they have photo albums available, but I don't like the writing format at all.

The reason I decided to start writing again (and consequently reactivating this old blog) was because my friend Erin challenged a couple of us to: Pick a theme (any theme) and blog about it 25 times during the month of May. You get 6 days free.

Since I'm starting this on May 6th, I'm pretty much out of free days (sucks to be me), but I'll try anyway. I'm still thinking of a theme, though. But I'm getting there.

That's all. :)
